REQUIREMENTS:


YOU MUST ATTEND ALL CLASSES unless dire circumstances keep you from doing so. 

LAB REPORTS : Unless otherwise noted, lab reports are due one week after completion of the lab. A few will be due one week after they are finished (details later). You cannot turn in a report if you didn’t attend the lab. You must turn in lab reports ON TIME.

400-LEVEL RESEARCH PAPER OR POWERPOINT PRESENTATION : If you are enrolled at the 400-level, you will be required to write and submit a 6+ page double-spaced, 12-pt font (Times or Times New Roman – no other font unless approved first) literature review on a water pollution topic which must be approved by Dr. Faulkner. The paper WILL ALSO include a title page, an abstract page, and a bibliography section. These pages are NOT part of the require 6 pages of text. Plagiarism is NOT tolerated. This paper is due on the Tuesday of DEAD WEEK. If you are a graduating senior, this paper is due the Thursday of the week BEFORE DEAD WEEK. The paper MUST follow the style guidelines in Ecology. NO other style will be graded. The due deadlines are absolute. You can do this in a Powerpoint format - if you do, these will be presented in class (see schedule).

500-LEVEL RESEARCH PAPER/PROJECT & POWERPOINT PRESENTATION : If you are enrolled at the 500-level, you will be required to write and submit a 8+ page double-spaced, 12-pt font (Times or Times New Roman – no other font unless approved first) literature review on a water pollution topic which must be approved by Dr. Faulkner. Also, you'll need to make a Powerpoint presentation for this topic for the last week of class. The paper WILL ALSO include a title page, an abstract page, and a bibliography section. These pages are NOT part of the require 6 pages of text. Plagiarism is NOT tolerated. This paper is due on the Tuesday of DEAD WEEK. If you are a graduating senior, this paper is due the Thursday of the week BEFORE DEAD WEEK. The paper MUST follow the style guidelines in Ecology. NO other style will be graded. The due deadlines are absolute. Note that for graduate students, you must do BOTH a paper and Powerpoint presentation.
